Christina Aguilera has been a chameleon when it comes to fashion, but she now has a new item to accessorize -- a baby belly. Since many brides find themselves in a family way when it comes time to walk down the aisle, I thought it appropriate to examine Xtina's fashion choices at this year's Emmy awards.

The dress she wore on the red carpet didn't really flatter her shape. She opted for the style many a pregnant gal chooses -- accented bust, empire waist with a full skirt. But, the satin gown fit snugly down to the bottom of her belly (unless the views I saw were just quite unflattering), and then floated out around her legs.

Now, when it cam time for her performance with Tony Bennett, Christina hit the mark. Her gorgeous, flowing chiffon gown flattered her petite frame and simply floated around what might have been a belly, but in no way was that the focus of the dress.

Before I get a million emails calling me a jerk for saying unflattering things about a pregnant woman, let me say this -- there are times where a mommy-to-be might choose to show off her belly, and that's great. I'm just assuming that many of you don't want to advertise this on your wedding day. If I'm wrong, then by all means choose a snug-fitting satin ensemble that will pull and gather everywhere it's tight. Otherwise, try something fabulous and flowing and let that pregnancy glow work for you!
