On the other hand, I was in a wedding where many of the guests were invited via Evite. Though this no doubt saved the bride and groom (or their parents) a great deal of money, the friends invited were often upset or offended that they did not warrant a paper invitation. Many chose not to attend the wedding, in part because they felt that receiving an Evite meant that they were "second rate" guests. Of course that was not the case, but it is a risk you have to look into with some of the more "old fashioned" guests.
