Healthy marriage, healthy heart?

Is it true that a healthy marriage means a healthy heart? Well, one study suggests that this may be the case. Actually, more specifically, the study found that bad relationships can raise a person's risk for heart disease.Researchers in Britain found that individuals with strained close relationships -- whether those relationships were marriage, family, or close friendships -- have a 34% higher risk of a heart attack than individuals in good relationships -- or rather, healthy relationships, quite literally.
One fascinating fact from the 12-year study is that the people who had the highest negative relationship scores had the highest incidence of heart attacks, even taking into account other factors associated with heart disease such as obesity, high blood pressure, and smoking.
