Eco-friendliness starts in one's daily life - making a one-time special effort just to go back to driving SUVs for a few hundred yards the next day accomplishes nothing.
You want eco-friendly? How about: using a bike or public transport; or even walking; dowsizing the car to something with reasonable gas consumption (or even a hybrid); keeping windows closed when using airco or even foregoing airco entirely ... etc
