WoW Insider is getting ready for BlizzCon!
When my husband proposed, he did so with a pretty little sapphire ring and a nice bottle of Kendall Jackson chardonnay. This was a huge splurge for us, both the ring and the wine; we were graduate students at the time, and we didn't have an extra dime.

I loved my proposal and wouldn't change it for the world, but I've always been fascinated by stories of extravagant proposals, the kind where the ring comes in an oyster shell or something crazy like that. So you can imagine how much I loved reading about cocktails that come with the bling right in them.

From our sister site, Luxist, comes this list of the world's priciest cocktails. I'm not talking about a $20.00 Patron margarita; how does a $10,000.00 martini strike you? The one served at New York's Algonquin Hotel comes with a diamond in your choice of cut and setting. However, it does require 72 hours notice, which is good if you are planning to use the martini to propose.

The Diamond/Ruby cocktail at the Sheraton Park Tower in London also offers custom ring options, with appropriate pricing, depending on what you choose. A .6 carat diamond, which comes in a glass of Charles Heidsieck champagne blended with Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac, angostura bitters, and a sugar cube, will cost you a mere $4,350, while the 2.6 carat version is $19,000.

In either case, you had better be sure she's going to say yes.
