Well, folks, Thanksgiving is officially over (although my stomach's still paying the price), and many more holidays are rushing in a little too quickly for my head and pocketbook to keep up.

With so many holidays approaching, I thought it would be the perfect time to write about one of my favorite holiday wedding ideas for favors. Oh, but it not only works as an awesome favor but also a simple, elegant table centerpiece.

I absolutely love the idea of having a large glass bowl filled with ornaments as a centerpiece. After the reception, your guests take home the ornaments as a memento of your beautiful wedding. And there are so many possibilities with this type of favor.

Many sites, like this one, offer personalized wedding ornaments where you can have your names and ceremony date. This particular ornament runs $4.95 apiece, which could be pricey depending on your budget. In any case, you can spend $20 for a hand-blown ornament or you can buy pretty glass ornaments in bulk from places like Home Depot.

Have fun with it and make the idea your own with personal touches, like what kind of ornament style fits your wedding or the type of container to hold the ornaments (you could use a large decorated gift box). Most of all, enjoy the holidays with your family and friends!
