Celebrity guests behaving badly: Bryan Singer lands a copter on Brandon Routh's wedding

Here at AisleDash, we love a good Bridezilla story. We also love over-the-top weddings, and who doesn't love a celebrity wedding? And when all THREE of those things come together, well, we are just giddy with nuptial joy.Over Thanksgiving weekend, Brandon Routh (you know, Superman!) and Courtney Ford were married at the El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara, CA. For the occasion, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger ordered that no planes or helicopters fly over the ranch. But wait! That's not even the good part!
Superman Returns director Bryan Singer decided that "no fly zone" didn't mean HIM, and insisted that his helicopter be allowed to land at the ranch. A guest called Singer's landing "a big Diana Ross diva move."
I can't decide which part of this story I like the most: the fact that Routh and Ford had the Governor of California declare their wedding a no-fly zone, or the fact that Singer decided that it didn't apply to him. No word on how Superman responded to what seems to me to be a terrible breach of celebrity etiquette.Comments [0]
