I've heard of girls being the best man (woman) and think it's great that TR is going to be a bridesmaid. It's whatever makes the bride and groom and happy on their day. I had a gay male as my maid of honor, but we called him my "Attendant of Honor." He was and is my best friend, so why shouldn't he be allowed to stand with me on the most important day of my life? :-)

I THINK IT'S GREAT. THE PEOPLE YOU ARE CLOSEST TO SHOULS BE PART OF YOUR WEDDING PARTY. AS FAR AS T.R. ALWAYS BEING A BRIDESMAID, I DON'T THINK SO. HE WILL FIND THE PERFECT GUY FOR HIM WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT.

When my cousin and her husband were married, her brothers stood up for her and his sisters for him. I thought it was great. You should be able to have whoever you want standing for you.

our daughter's best friend is gay and he was her man of honor when she married 5 years ago, she had a maid, matron and man of honor plus 4 bridesmaids and 2 flowergirls.

I think T.R. Knight handled the announcement of his homosexuality in such a spectacular way and really admire Katherine Heigl for showing her love and support for T.R. Knight then and on her special day. I wish them both happiness.

When I got married almost nine years ago (so imagine some of the reactions), one of my best guy friends was an attendent of mine, and the hubbie's sisters stood up with him :)
