Eunice Lopez, a 26-year-old woman from Miami, Florida, was arrested last week and charged with nine counts of bigamy when authorities discovered she was married to ten different men -- and divorced from none of them.Prosecutors allege that the woman has been marrying men over the past five years in exchange for money so that they could remain in the United States. In 2005, she married two different men within a period of two weeks. You'd think the clerk of court would start to recognize her face by now, if not her name.
Considering all the legal paperwork one has to file in order to get married, it's rather astonishing that it took more than five years to pick up on this woman's multiple marriages -- not to mention the fact that the IRS might be getting curious about this woman's source of income. Well, the system caught up with her in the long run... the very long run.

I think it would be appropriate to ship her and all her husbands back to where ever the majority of those men came from. We really don't need any more criminals in the country, and those people are criminals as all "ILLEGAL" aliens are. Tom

How do you determine that these men are criminals? Trust me, I am totally neutral in this. I am simply usually amazed when one thing is said, in this case "A Woman Married Ten Men!" and got arrested!!! Then some makes up that "These men should return home because we do not need any more criminals!!! BOLD! I am requesting that we stick to the facts and not jump to conclusion. If these men are
criminals, then everyone in the USA follows suit. Unless you are a NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN, YOU CAME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THEREFORE SHOULD GO BACK TOO!

The facts are that she married them in order to help them LEGALIZE their status in the USA. She did not have them LIVING with her in the house. You people really do not understand the immigration laws. It's ashamed. The laws have made it so that when a migrant comes to the USA on a temporary visa, they must leave. Many of them chose to stay and in order to secure a permanent status, they have to be married. The marriage is only on PAPER People and not in REALITY. The person gets paid and is now responsible to file the needed paperwork to help process the immigration papers. THAT'S IT! The article did not report anything about SEX or the HOUSE. Get your heads out of the gutter and stick to What's So!

Who cares? Long time ago polygamy was acceptable. It was nature that decided the marriage, if there were too few women, it was acceptable for men to have more than one wives. The same goes for women, when there were too few men do to them dying in wars, it was acceptable for a woman to have more than one spouse. Read it up in the anthropology books. It happened. No biggie! It was the sign of the times. Why sex with more than one person should be illegal is weird. Weird law. Men, women and children need to grow up and realize jealousy is one of the most dangerous emotions of all. It hurts others instead of teach them to grow up.
