Eunice Lopez, a 26-year-old woman from Miami, Florida, was arrested last week and charged with nine counts of bigamy when authorities discovered she was married to ten different men -- and divorced from none of them.

Prosecutors allege that the woman has been marrying men over the past five years in exchange for money so that they could remain in the United States. In 2005, she married two different men within a period of two weeks. You'd think the clerk of court would start to recognize her face by now, if not her name.

Considering all the legal paperwork one has to file in order to get married, it's rather astonishing that it took more than five years to pick up on this woman's multiple marriages -- not to mention the fact that the IRS might be getting curious about this woman's source of income. Well, the system caught up with her in the long run... the very long run.
