For the best man: Who toasts when

There will be toasts at the wedding, maybe only a couple, maybe dozens, and it is traditionally the responsibility of the best man to see that everyone who wishes to gets their turn. If you're the best man and you haven't a clue who comes when, not to worry, we have a list!There are only two that are pretty much carved in stone: Yours to the bride, which is the first toast given, and the groom's to the bride, which comes second. After that, there's a lot of variation. Bearing that in mind, here is the official line-up of toasts:
1. You start things off by toasting the bride. (Not sure how? Find more information here.)
2. Groom to bride (and maybe her parents)
3. Bride to groom (and maybe his parents)
4. Father (and/or mother) of bride to couple
5. Father (and/or mother) of groom to couple
6. Any grandparents
7. Siblings of bride and groom
8. Maid of honor
9. Any of the wedding party who wish to, though none of them have to.
10. Any guests.
Some people will want to propose a toast, some will not. You would probably be wise to jot this list down, and then approach the immediate family and wedding party to see who would like to toast. That way, you don't embarrass someone by suggesting they give a toast when they're totally unprepared. You'll also give them a chance to consider the idea, if it hasn't occurred to them, and maybe decide they'd like to, after all!
When it comes to the guests, after the wedding party and family have had their turn, you can simply turn to the guests and ask if there are any others who wish to propose a toast. They'll take it from there!
