Don't you just love it? It's a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" shower, darlings!

Maybe the wedding theme is Tiffany & Co, or maybe the bride is crazy about Audrey Hepburn - in any case, a Breakfast at Tiffany's shower (or bachelorette party) would be delightful, don't you think?
The beauty of this theme is that you can take it as far as you want: You could try to recreate the movie as faithfully as possible, or you could simply aim to for the lighthearted elegance that the film evokes. It's easier than you think! Just watch the film and ask yourself, what would Holly Golightly do?

Darlings,
In the true spirit of "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
would you please wear your best 'little black dress' (or black top and pants!)?
Don't forget your utterly fabulous pearls, sparkles & divine costume jewelry!
Timing: An elegant brunch shower or a swinging evening cocktail party with bossa nova in the background and sophisticated cocktails would work equally well.
Food: must be small and sophisticated - sweet little pastries and tea sandwiches for a brunch (reminiscent of the film's opening sequence) or sophisticated hors d'ouvres for a cocktail party.
Drinks: Brazilian caipirinhas or martinis for evening - bellinis and sparkling punch for brunch.
Decor: Think black and sparkling silver, pearls and glittering jewels. Banish paper cups and serve all drinks (even water!) in champagne or martini glasses.
Favors: Leave long strands of costume pearls and huge (and fake) cocktail rings to encourage your guests to pile on the glamour. Fake cigarette holders and feather boas are fun and evoke a bygone era. Cheap plastic masks like the ones Holly and George wear in the film are a playful touch. Huge sunglasses, marabou slippers - the choices are endless!
Activities: Think retro fun: play pin the tail on the cat (use a sleep mask like the one in the movie); fill a hatbox with rice and hide a "diamond" ring for your guests to find; and of course, you could always screen the movie!
