From Red Carpet to Altar: Amanda Bynes

Alright, Amanda Bynes might be a little young to be bridal, but the girl can dress, as we see here at the Palm Springs Film Festival. You want a kicky little shift for a backyard wedding? Or a hot little frock to change into for your reception? Look no further, but first, let me explain why this is such a fantastic look.- Short and sassy without being slutty -- You might notice that the dress isn't terribly short, but it still has the sassiness of a skirt several inches shorter. That's accomplished with the detail near the hem -- the actual end of the skirt is a couple of inches lower than the line your eye is drawn to, enabling the dress to keep some length without looking like it should be worn in a convent.
- A little sparkle goes a long way -- Someone this young and fresh doesn't need tons of bling in order to shine. Her dress has a few sparkley embellishments, but the glow is all Amanda. If you have a natural glow like this, don't go heavy on the ice -- keep it light.
- Easy and breezy does the trick -- From her casual hair to the flowing dress to the peep-toe shoes, Amanda keeps the entire look young and fun. If it were summer, strappy stilettos would do the trick, but since she's sporting this look during the winter, the slightly more substantial shoe is totally appropriate. The simple hairstyle compliments the entire look -- she looks put together without looking like she spent all day on it.
- Get some focus -- At first glance, your eyes probably went directly to the feature she played up -- her eyes. The lips are shiny and light, allowing her smokey eyes to stand out. A brighter lip would be okay, but you would want to stay away from deep shades of red or purple, and keep the shine.
