Now THAT's a proposal!

Here's a groom with class. Months in advance of the anniversary of their first date, Graham McGowen started planning the proposal she still talks about. His then-girlfriend collects snow globes. Graham found a woman who made snow-globes to order; he found an artist to make the figurines he'd planned. He went onto eBay and bought a tiny bag of real diamond chips for the glitter.

For seven months, he planned, and slowly it all came together. On their anniversary, they went for a picnic in their favorite picnic spot, and he handed her the wrapped globe. When she peeled back the paper, she saw the figures in the globe: woman sitting on a picnic table, man kneeling at her feet. She read the inscription on the plate: "Will you marry me, Kristen?"

And when she turned to her boyfriend -- there he was, kneeling at her feet, holding up the ring. What made it so very perfect? Let's let Graham tell us: The perfect proposal "is all about your girlfriend! What made this proposal such a success ... was that it was right for her. The more you can tailor the proposal to your girlfriend and your relationship the more special it will be". Way to go, Graham! You've sure started on the right foot.
