Probably one of the
most unexpected Valentines Day gifts ever was this lakeside house in the Cotswolds, England that Hollywood photographer Jasin Boland bought for his fiance Maria, last year. What makes this present extra special is that he had the house gift-wrapped in 465sq m of paper covered in 1.5m wide hearts, with a 23m pink ribbon on top. Then, to top it off, he flew Maria to see her gift, in a helicopter.
Okay, not many of use can afford to go to such lengths, but it has to be one of the most romantic ideas I've heard of. It certainly beats getting a box of chocolates for Valentines Day.
