From Red Carpet to Altar: Eva Longoria Parker at the 2008 SAG Awards
Filed under: Fashion, From Red Carpet to Altar
There's a reason Eva Longoria Parker has made it into the Red Carpet to Altar feature multiple times -- she chooses styles that, while not off the wall, continue to be unexpected. This dress from the 2008 SAG awards was no exception. In addition to knowing how to pose and work a red carpet, Eva always wears her clothes with confidence. Though she's petite, she always shines in a big way at awards shows. Want to know how she did it at the SAGs? Read on for tips (and a picture of the front of the dress!).
Here's the front of the dress, as promised, followed by tips to get you aislerunner ready.

- Mix it up -- While the cut of the dress is fairly Old School Hollywood, if you look closely at the sparkly design on the fabric, you'll see that it's a very modern, geometric print. Want to keep guests guessing? Pair up the old and new; a vintage bracelet with a modern cocktail ring, or put your hair in pin curls but put a funky clip in it.
- Strike a pose -- As I said before, Eva knows how to pose. Especially in this dress; I mean, she practically looks like a contortionist! However, with a few basic posing tips, you, too can show your best side in the best possible way.
- Choose your hue -- Yes, if you're a bride, you will likely be wearing a shade of white (unless you go with something daring, like red, purple, or black). But that doesn't mean you need a stark white frock -- silver accents like this will keep away the white gown glare, and you could also consider shades of ivory and gold while still holding to tradition.
