Liam Gallagher, front man of the British pop band Oasis, and Nicole Appleton, of the band All Saints, wed yesterday in a super-secret ceremony at the Westminster Registry Office in London. The couple had been planning to marry for a while, and had even leaked news of several fake weddings, to throw the paparazzi off. The actual wedding, though, was such a big secret that not even Gallagher's brother and band mate Noel was invited.Gallagher and Appleton have been together for eight years and have a six-year-old son, Gene.
Gallagher has been married before, to actress Patsy Kensit (strangely enough, that wedding was also at the Westminster Registry Office). They have a son, Lennon; Gallagher also has a daughter, Molly, with Lisa Moorish. Molly was conceived a month after his wedding to Kensit. Oops.
We applaud the happy couple for sneaking off for a quiet exchange of vows, and we wish them a long and prosperous marriage.
