Gadling covers the Olympics
If you're throwing a really posh shindig with an expensive dress and major deposits for the venues, caterer, florist, and photographer, you stand to lose a lot of money if something prevents your big day. If your banquet hall goes out of business or your photographer comes down with the plague (hey, I'm a photographer and I don't wish that on anyone - truly) you are protected.

We've mentioned insurance before, and here's one more company that's getting in on it - Travelers. Their Wedding Protector Plan has no deductible and varying levels of coverage to help couples protect their budget. The coverage must be purchased at least 14 days prior to the wedding.

If a torn dress or unavoidable cancellation would threaten your entire budget or ceremony (or the delicate balance of your finances) you may want to check out ProtectMyWedding.com. For some, the peace of mind you get for as little as $160 just might be worth it.
