We've talked about the traditional floral arch, and about balloon arches. The list doesn't stop there, though. Decorative arches are versatile things, and can easily be adapted to any wedding theme.

Undecorated arches can be rented for a very reasonable fee. With the frame as your starting-place, you will want two kinds of elements for it.

Gallery: Floral Arches

First, the main, frame-covering element, like swathes of tulle, garlands of silk ivy, grape vines or stark white birch branches. You will want enough of this to soften the hard lines of the arch. Second, the accent elements -- bright flowers (silk are easier to work with) or elements in keeping with your theme, like seashells, silk butterflies, Easter eggs, or even small inflatable beach balls!

Finally, will you want lights in the arch? Strings of small LED lights glowing through tulle give a luminous quality to the arch, increasing the sense that all that veiling and greenery is just floating there.
