It would be horrible to come home to one's spouse and have to explain the loss of one's wedding ring. The Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark had a serious bit of 'splainin' to do to his wife, Princess Mary when he lost his recently. You see, the ring wasn't just a wedding ring -- it was a ring made from the first nugget of gold to be mined from Greenland, which is part of the Danish kingdom. And, he didn't lose it fighting off Sweden or anything -- he lost it diving in Key West, Florida.

Oh, Fred. Good thing you're so darn cute.
A team of divers spent weeks searching for the prince's ring, but to no avail. He had been diving on a huge reef, and fish like barracuda love to eat shiny thing, so it's likely the one-of-a-kind royal ring is now in the belly of a mean ol' fish.
