Ian Usher and his wife of five years split up more than a year ago. Still, he finds it hard to move on, because everything in his life carries painful associations with his ex. So he's decided to sell it all. Starting June 22, interested buyers will be able to bid on eBay for his house in Perth, Australia, all his stuff, his job, and his friends. His employer and his friends are behind him, hoping that the auction will help him move on.
When he gets the money from the sale of his life, Usher says, "I intend to walk out of my front door with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, nothing else at all."
"My current thoughts are to then head to the airport, and ask at the flight desk where the next flight with an available seat goes to, and to get on that and see where life takes me from there," he says. Maybe it will take him to a good therapist.
