Did you hear the one about the groom who humiliated his bride at the reception by exposing her affair with the best man? Or how about the bride who was bitten by a snake during pictures? Want to know some more about the superstitions surrounding wedding traditions?

Then you need to take a look at Snopes' wedding pages. Snopes is a site that debunks popular urban legends. And yes, there are a lot of urban legends regarding nuptials.

For instance, did you know that the white dress was originally a sign of stature, not of purity? And that it's considered bad luck to complete the wedding gown before the wedding day? Wearing anything black on your wedding day could make you a young widow.
