Legend has it that if a couple kisses at the center of the bridge, they are destined to be together forever. It's not a myth that W&M students take lightly. Many college couples avoid ever even crossing the bridge together, lest they seal their fate before they're prepared.
What if a couple breaks up after a Crim Dell kiss? Simple. The young lady must throw her former sweetheart over the bridge and into the water below to break the curse. A newer rumor states that if a woman crosses the bridge alone, she's doomed to a life of spinsterhood.
So, do I know anyone who's ever kissed on the Crim Dell bridge? As a matter of fact, I do, and I'm attending their wedding in July!

I got engaged on that bridge last August! My fiance and I met at William and Mary, and he set up a gorgeous candlelit proposal in the middle of the night on the bridge. We even got to return to the bridge to take engagement pics a few months ago. Definitely one of my absolute favorite places!
Congratulations, Cassidy! If you'd like to share your pictures, feel free to add them to our Flickr pool and I'll add a few of them to the gallery here:)
How picturesque! Like a scene from a painting or movie...

Ok, I live in Williamsburg and must be one of the only two people (the other being my husband) who do not know where the Crim Dell Bridge is! We understand it's on or near the campus somewhere and we have tried on numerous occasions to find it. I'm starting to think it's like Brigadoon! Can someone please tell me how to find this mythical place!!
Kay, the bridge is on the W&M campus. Just ask any student to point you in the right direction:)
Wow that looks fabulous. I'd really love to take my missus there sometime.
