A pink palace for your pink wedding: The Don CeSar Beach Resort

Since 1928, the Don CeSar Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida, has been known as Florida's Legendary Pink Palace. Couples from all over the world come here to be married, and there's no question as to why -- just look at it. The hotel has been described as "an old-fashioned, pink-iced wedding cake towering over the shore," making it an incredible location for a fairytale beach wedding.

We were fortunate enough to visit St. Pete Beach and see the Don CeSar recently, and trust us, the pictures hardly do it justice. It truly is a magnificent piece of architecture, and with a setting like this beach, there's just no way to describe it's effect in person other than to say it is truly magnificent.

You might think that, as grand as the venue is, only huge, highly formal weddings take place there, but that just isn't true. The Don holds approximately 300 weddings a year, ranging from casual, barefoot beach front weddings to extravagant white-tie events. And, the Don has a helpful wedding program that allows couples to opt arrange some or all of the wedding details through the resort, so you can bring your own photographer but feel comfortable using the band the hotel recommends.

Finally, keep in mind that St. Pete Beach is on Florida's Gulf Coast, meaning that you'll get superb sunsets nearly every night -- trust us. And while the resort has wonderful spas, shopping, and dining available, the St. Pete/Clearwater Beach area has plenty to offer, meaning that this pink palace might just be the perfect location for your dream wedding.
