Paris, 2008: Black is the new White

For a truly up-to-the-minute French flare, the dedicatedly Parisian bride will be considering the black wedding dress. At least three French design houses have a few black dresses in their 2008 collections. If you're not a "big white dress" kind of bride, perhaps you're a big black dress kind of bride?

It seems to us that certain kinds of weddings would be better for a black gown than others. An afternoon garden wedding cries out for white, bright florals or pastel, but an evening wedding in an unlikely urban venue -- with cocktail reception following in a renovated warehouse? Trés chic!
