1. When should you open gifts? We've talked about gift opening parties that some couples have, but etiquette dictates that you can open a gift as soon as you receive it or as soon as you can after you receive it. Don't delay without good cause, because a timely thank you note is imperative.

2. Should you keep a record of gifts you have received? It's a good idea, because the most important etiquette of receiving a gift is sending a good thank you note. Recording the who and what of each gift helps ensure that no one is left off your thank you list.

3. What should you do with gifts if the wedding is canceled? Proper etiquette says the gifts should be returned, except in instances where a gift is monogrammed, has already been used, or the gift giver insists that you keep it. In these cases, it's nice to "return the favor" by treating the giver to a dinner out or another thoughtful treat.
