Back when supermodels ruled the world and every girl in the world had a crazy desire to be the hooker with a heart of gold who gets rescued by her Prince Charming, Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere tied the knot in Las Vegas. Immediately following the December, 1991 marriage announcement were questions of Richard's sexual orientation and theories that the marriage was just a cover.

Hmmm ... we haven't heard anything like that about a more recent couple, have we?

Anyway, Cindy and Richard spent four years denying gay rumors before divorcing in 1995. They might not have had a perfect relationship, but it was certainly a lot better than our next celebrity marriage.
