We thoroughly enjoyed the photo shoot montage from the Sex and the City movie (and if you haven't seen it, don't worry -- that's not giving much away). Our only complaint would be that we didn't get to see each dress long enough!Well, that problem has been solved. Our friends at Harper Collins sent us a copy of the Sex and the City: The Movie book, and included in it is a fabulous picture of each dress!
The book also outlines the plot through the use of pictures, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, you might want to wait on the book. There are loads of extra details from the cast and crew about everything from the shoes Carrie wore under the Vivienne Westwood gown (Dior Extremes covered in crystals) to scenes that were written but cut. And, there's a look book at the end of all the outfits each of the main characters wore throughout the film with the designer info.
Plus, there are some interesting facts regarding the Vogue photo shoot, such as who was involved in setting it up (La Wintour herself was included in the planning, and numerous other Vogue staples were visible in the movie) and how these specific dress were chosen. If you loved the series and/or the movie, we absolutely recommend picking up the book.
