New to the Mac? Check out TUAW's Mac 101
DIY inspiration board

This week we brought you Do It Yourself (DIY) weddings. One of the great things about doing it yourself is the money you can save. And who else knows what you want better than you do? Here are the things we found for you:

One of the easiest things to start with is making your own invitations. While wedding dresses can be complicated, they don't have to be. You can design one yourself. Or even knit one if you're adventurous. Don't like white shoes? You could dye yours. Going a little more casual? Try white sneakers, or use a floral anklet and go barefoot. But don't forget the details, like a French manicure for your nails.

For your ceremony, you could try writing your own vows. Get a do-it-yourself flower kit or make a chocolate nosegay. There's always a DIY unity candle if you want that element in your wedding.

We're not done yet! Have you thought about making your own cake? You can style a cake topper while you're at it. From there, think about glowing centerpieces, floating candles, and iced branches for a winter wedding. We can't leave out favor baskets, or your own personalized toasting glasses.

There are lots of ways to DIY your wedding and make it uniquely yours.
