I hope this trend to recylce wedding dresses will really catch on. I have helped brides turn their mother's heirloom vintage wedding dress into a style more in keeping with the times.
The mothers are happy to see their daughters using their dress, although it doesn't look the same as when they wore it.
The daughters like the nostalgic feeling of wearing something from the past and the fact that their wedding dress is special because it was their mother's or grandmother's dress.
It also brings happiness to the sewing professional who work on these type of projects.
So brides ask your mother, grandmother or other relatives to pull out those old wedding dresses. Then find a qualified sewing professional who will turn it into the dress of your dreams!
