I don't think she was looking at you funny because you were not ordering the most expensive dress in the store, she was probably horrified that you did not feel the need to order your dress until the last minute. You cannot get a wedding dress off the rack, unless you are really lucky and fit into the display model perfectly. Sometimes you need alterations and also you might have to order the dress from the manufacturer and that takes time. Do not think that all sales people are trolls who love to give brides a hard time and want them to spend thousands of dollars. They are people too.
