Q. Should I pay for my bridesmaids' hair and makeup?

A.While not mandatory, footing the bill for the bridal party to get gorgeous is a kind gesture that will be much appreciated by your girls. However, if you are going to require them to use your hair and makeup artists, you should definitely pick up the tab, says etiquette expert Elaine Swann. If that's not within your budget, simply leave the decision up to the bridesmaids as to whether they go professional or DIY.
