Equally Wed magazine (equallywed.com) launched on March 22, 2010, and is a quarterly online magazine with features on wedding planning 101, wedding etiquette and bridal fashion tips.
Kirsten Palladino, editor in chief of Equally Wed, tells Aisledash.com that the Web site will be updated quarterly with larger planning and style features at the beginning of each new season (June, September, December) as well as weekly and daily items posted to the site's three blogs, In Bloom, Broom Closet and Headlines.
In Bloom is written by Equally Wed's editor, and highlights new wedding ideas and news in the industry. Broom Closet, written by the site's publisher, Maria Palladino, features new finds and thoughts from the masculine woman's perspective. Headlines will keep users up to date on the fight for marriage equality.
In addition to general wedding-planning articles, Equally Wed also features real proposal stories and real wedding galleries with pictures to inspire recently engaged couples. The photos above are from real weddings and proposals currently on the site.
Kirsten says she wants to bring Equally Wed to newsstands in the near future. "As a former bride, I loved flipping through bridal magazines and clipping out beautiful pics and putting them in my wedding portfolio. We want to give that experience to the gay and lesbian community."
