Former President Bill Clinton will take on another wedding role, but not at daughter Chelsea's wedding. The AP is reporting that Clinton will act as officiant at the wedidng of New York Representative Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The couple is expected to say, "I do" this weekend at Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY. Rumors have also sourced Oheka Castle as the wedding location for Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly's November wedding.

According to New York State law, a wedding officiant must be an authorized, officially ordained member of the clergy or a public official in the State of New York such as a mayor, city clerk, deputy city clerk, appointed marriage officer, justice, or judge.

I wonder which online ministry Bill graduated from to become an ordained minister. But I guess the couple couldn't call on Mayor Michael Bloomberg to perform the wedding ceremony since the groom tried to run against him for mayor of New York City in 2005.

Speaking of Bill Clinton:

Just keep him out of closets, locked rooms and do not give him any cigars. Hope the groom keeps an eye on his bride.

I imagine that his federal status takes precedence over all those others. However, with HIS track record, I don't think I would want to take the chance.
