1. The ocean view: Santa Barbara's south view overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Twenty miles off the coast, the Channel Islands rise majestically from the sea.
2. The mountain view: On Santa Barbara's north side are the Santa Ynez Mountains, which turn purple at sunset.
3. Not only does Santa Barbara have ocean and mountain views, it's also home to the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with rolling, golden hills, oak trees and tons of vineyards.
4. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, Santa Barbara has one of the most temperate climates in the country. It's frequently in the high 60s to low 70s, even in the wintertime.
5. Pinot noir: Made famous by the movie Sideways, the Santa Ynez Valley is home to some very tasty wines and some beautiful winery-wedding locations such as Firestone Vineyards.
6. Old California ranches: There are a number of historic ranches available for rent in Santa Barbara and quite a few of them have spectacular ocean views. The same family has owned Orella Ranch since 1866!
7. Private estates: Santa Barbara and neighboring Montecito are home to some of the most beautiful private estates, including Oprah Winfrey's west coast home.
8. Downtown Santa Barbara is home to the historic Granada. An Art Deco theater built in 1924, it has recently undergone a thorough restoration and is now available for weddings and private functions. Receptions can be held onstage and the couple's name can even be put on the marquee!
9. Santa Barbara is home to the Brooks Institute of Photography, and has amazing local alumni such as wedding photographers Jose Villa, Katie Moos and Megan Sorel, just to name a few.
10. The Tri-Counties (Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo) are home to many local farms and ranches. If locally grown, sustainable, and organic food is a must-have for your wedding caterers, SBB Catering and Duo Events make great use of the local bounty.

Santa Barbara sounds like a great place to get married! I bet it would be a great place to vacation for the honeymoon. You could even get married in this pink church!
