Hello aisledash.com readers!

My name is Kelly Oshiro, and I'm an event design and wedding planner based in Santa Barbara, California. I love designing weddings that are inspired by the personality of the couple. Since the wedding dress sets the tone for so much of the wedding, I thought it would be fun to translate some dresses into inspiration boards to help show how the vibe of the dress can help guide the rest of the design process.

Below, I've used dresses from Alina Pizzano's most recent collection.

For this dress, I imagine a modern, glamorous affair with a palette of light purples and creams. I picture a formal dinner with a splash of '50s swankiness. A '50s-style lounge band plays music during dinner while white-gloved waiters serve guests a four-course dinner.

Have your fiancé insure your engagement ring as soon as he picks it up. Something can happen to it even before he slips it on your finger. Learn More
