We've reported earlier that Chelsea Clinton was shopping for a gluten-free wedding cake due to her gluten allergy. The bride-to-be has been vegan for years.

Chelsea had reportedly taken vegan cooking lessons from White House chef Walter Scheib for six weeks prior to leaving for college.

Several caterers are rumored to be preparing meals for the three-day wedding weekend -- Blue Ribbon, St. Regis and Olivier Cheng Catering --and all are said to be creating a vegan menu. Though one report said that guests will be offered grass-fed beef at the wedding dinner.

Creating a gluten-free wedding cake is a little trickier. Only a few New York area bakers offer vegan or gluten-free wedding cakes and the few we've spoken with have either denied involvement in the wedding or told us that they were waiting to hear if they would be making the wedding cake.

BabyCakes NYC won't confirm or deny whether they are making a wedding cake for Chelsea Clinton's wedding to Marc Mezvinsky.

And last time we spoke to Lulu's Cake Boutique in Scarsdale, NY, we were told that they were still waiting to learn if they would be making the wedding cake, but they have provided sweets for the Clinton family in the past.

While we're not confirming that one of these bakeries is creating the wedding cake for the most talked about wedding of the year, we are saying that we think these are the two finalists.

The author keeps stressing her being vegan is somehow behind the GF cake - as if gluten is found in meat.

In this economy, that price tag is a FABULOUS thing! The money did not go into thin air, it went into dozens of businesses, and gave a huge boost to the small local businesses in the town where it was held. I would LOVE to have been the florist!
