When it comes to wedding-day makeup, no one face fits all. Maybe you're an earthy girl who prefers a natural look, a drama queen who desires a smoky eye, or a fresh-faced beauty who fancies some shimmer and shine. "Wearing neutral colors is a classic way to enhance your features and look like the best version of yourself on your wedding day," says Stila Pro Artist Sarah Lucero. Look for a foundation that has SPF and will leave a smooth, flawless finish on skin. Use concealer in areas that need additional coverage and apply powder in the "hot spots" like the T-zone and above the eyebrow bone to control shine. This look is all about monochromatic makeup; eyes, cheeks and lips should all stay in the same, neutral color family, says Lucero. Sweep a pink blush on the apples of the cheeks to mimic a natural flush and shape and shade lips with a lip pencil that echoes your natural lip color.

Smoky eyes are intense and dramatic, but you can still keep them soft by blurring any harsh lines on lids, says Lucero. Achieve the effect with an espresso brown shade, which works on every skin tone and will keep things tame on your wedding day. Wet the end of your brush and apply the shadow directly to the lash line, blending into the crease. Use a waterproof mascara in black or brown to build lashes and create volume. Because the eye is strong, stick to earthy tones for lips and cheeks.

Healthy, radiant (but not sparkly) skin will match your inner wedding-day glow with an outer one, says Lucero. Prime your face with an illuminating liquid foundation. "When the skin is luminous, it enhances features and appears more youthful," she says. After applying all of your makeup, add a touch of liquid luminizer to the tops of your cheekbones to highlight your bone structure and make your eyes look brighter. You can also give shoulders and décolletage a little radiance, too, by mixing a bit of body shimmer into your lotion.

A bride with a stylish, edgy sensibility will appreciate the red lips and dramatic eyes defined by this classic screen-siren look. The idea is to maximize both of these features, says Lucero. Use foundation with a matte finish to make the skin look like porcelain. Coat the entire lid with a vanilla shade and use a neutral brown in the crease. Liquid black liner is key. Draw a thick line just along the upper lashline and extend to a slight flare in the corners. Swipe your lashes with black mascara. For the bold red lip, line and fill in lips with a pencil and apply a matching matte lipstick.

There's nothing more feminine than a face of petal-soft pinks and rosy tones, says Lucero. These shades create an ethereal quality. On the eyes, stick with a thin, single wash of color, like a pink or nude shimmer. Blend a cream pink blush, which looks like a natural flush, on cheeks and a berry or rose color on lips. Instead of using heavy dark eyeliner, dot a more delicate liner shade like gray or purple between lashes to make eyes pop.
