Renowned dermatologist Dr. Noëlle Sherber on treating pre-wedding breakouts:
Even though getting ready for your wedding is a happy time, I see so many brides with stress-related breakouts. Intense pulsed light treatments using a "blue" wavelength (420nm) effectively treat the bacteria that contributes to acne without causing redness or peeling. The effect isn't permanent, but weekly to every-other-week treatments can be extremely helpful. If you have at least six months before your wedding and are experiencing significant acne, discuss other more permanent fixes with your dermatologist like low-dose Isotretinoin for clear skin that will last through the honeymoon and beyond.
