Think about what her perfect proposal would be, not yours! Also, I always ask clients if there is anything that they have ever mentioned that has not been done. For instance, would she love for you to sing to her or perhaps hear you play the sax? Even if you're shy, this is your time to shine and prove to her that even though you may be terrified or have no idea how to do it, you will overcome your fear (temporarily) or learn a new skill just for her and the proposal. Making a grand gesture doesn't mean spending a lot of money. It just means doing something that would be considered grand on your part. Trust me, she'll NEVER forget it.
