"Favors make an incredible first impression as guests arrive or approach the dinner table, creating a thoughtful, warm, generous feeling," says planner Debi Lilly, chief eventeur of A Perfect Event in Chicago, whose clients include Oprah Winfrey and Wolfgang Puck. "I love non-edible favors, as they are true keepsakes to treasure and enjoy. Unlike sweets and savories, they are carried home, and every time you see them, you are reminded of the picturesque romantic wedding weekend, and the style and personality of the bride and groom themselves," she says. Lilly suggests that you may want to order one as a sample to ensure that the look and quality of the product meet your expectations before you commit to a large quantity.

Lilly recently began selling favors, ribbons and other gift items -- from bacon and bourbon caramel corn to bud vases -- on her e-commerce site, aperfectevent.storenvy.com. "I scour the globe for clever, colorful, customized favors that are perfect for wedding showers, parties and receptions," she says. But she also turns to other Web sites for fabulous favors and equally outstanding packaging. We'll reveal one of her picks every day this week, so be sure to check back!

"Gianna Rose Atelier is a wonderful site for lush, sweet artisanal petite soaps, candles, rose petal bath soaps and so much more," says Lilly. "The designs work perfectly for feminine, romantic favors and fit so perfectly into tiny boxes. For many products, the packaging is already perfectly elegant and is complete with ribbon detail." For weddings, we're particularly taken with the individually wrapped, heart-shape soaps shown here. Also, since many of the Edison, New Jersey-based company's soaps are sold in larger quantities, it might make sense for you to order a set of eight and then individually package them yourself. $10 each for the single-wrapped soaps on giannarose.com.
