How to determine your skin tone:
People generally fall into one of two groups when it comes to skin tone: warm and cool.
You're warm if:
-your skin has peach or golden undertones
-you have freckles or tan easily
-the veins on the inside of your wrist appear green
You're cool if:
-your skin has pale or pink undertones
-you burn more often than you tan
-the veins on the inside of your wrist appear blue
Hair colors that look great on warm skin tones include golden blonde, butterscotch, bronze, copper, chestnut and mahogany. Avoid very dark or ashy colors, which can make you look sallow.
Hair colors that look great on cool skin tones include ash blondes and browns, and blue-based reds like burgundy. Be careful when selecting shades that have an orange cast, like auburn, which will only emphasize the pink in your skin.
Whether you're a warm or a cool, avoid extremes like very pale blonde, which can wash you out, or very dark browns, which can age you.
