Kate Moss is busy getting ready for her impending nuptials to her rocker fiance Jamie Hince. They are slated to get married this September in a power station, and the supermodel is apparently trying to shape up.

She has joined pal Sadie Frost in a detox this spring, giving up her favorite fried foods and agreeing to cut back on the booze. Plus, she has incorporated yoga into her routine in an effort to tone up her slight frame.

While this is all fine and well, we're actually a little more excited about some other news -- she's getting to work on her wedding dress, and girlfriend is going gothic. She is said to be working with a designer friend (Who, you ask? We don't know yet!) on a full-skirted gown "either in purple or black" with "vintage rock 'n' roll charms as the trimming." We cannot wait to see what Miss Moss wears, and how else she incorporates this rock 'n' roll/gothic theme!

"My Fair Wedding," the new lifestyle show on WE TV (Women's Entertainment Network) will feature a few real (and lucky) brides who need a little help planning their wedding. This guy, David Tutera, is an event and entertainment guru, and he can help you design an event that uses your imagination, captures your style, and inspires your guests. If you want to go for it, you have to have a wedding date set for this summer (July or August) and it might help if you're feeling a little desperate about your upcoming wedding plans. You also have to enroll on the gotcast.com casting website. Read the fine print carefully (even if you're really, really desperate). Good luck!
For the couple who's feeling just a little overwhelmed by all the wedding stuff and is wondering if it wouldn't be a lot simpler to just elope ... bored.com has just the page for you!

A three-step virtual marriage ceremony, ending in your very own real Fake Wedding Certificate. Enter the bride and groom's names, type in the witness (witness is optional), read a two-paragraph wedding ceremony, at the end of which you click on "I do". The virtual minister pronounces you husband and wife, and you kiss. Then you get your marriage certificate. There! Done! Wasn't that easy???

Oddly enough, only one party has to participate in order to receive the marriage certificate. This seems to us to have tremendous post-bachelor-party prank potential ...

There are wedding dresses that make you feel like a princess and then there are dresses that magically turn you into a princess. If you prefer the latter (who doesn't?), then wedding gowns by Uptight Clothing, a UK-based dress and accessory designer that's been around for years, is perfect for making your faerie-tale dreams come true.

The focus with Uptight Clothing is rich, saturated colors like royal purples and turquoise and form-fitting corsets with either billowing gowns or curve-hugging A-line skirts. As you can see from the gallery, the styles range from whimsical to more traditional with a twist. So, if you're the kind of bride who turns a nose up to white or sneers at big designer labels, this boutique-style dressmaker may be the faerie godmother you've been searching high and low outside your window.

Keep in mind, due to the high demand for these handmade dresses, you'll need to order at least a year in advance. Oh, but the wait is sure to be worth it once you transform into a princess who'll make your prince's jaw drop!

Did you know that you can get married after you die? In fact, the practice of ghost marriage is fairly common in some parts of the world, and dates back approximately 2000 years in China.

Chinese spirit marriage has been used as a social tool to benefit the deceased. For example, if a woman dies without a husband, she can be married posthumously (often to someone who is also dead) to gain social acceptance. Families may honor their passed sons by giving them live brides. In either case, the spirit marriage serves the religious function of making the deceased happier in the afterlife.

In Sudan, the Nuer tribe practices a type of ghost marriage where a dead man's brother will marry his widow, and any children from this union are considered fathered by the dead husband. Also, a Nuer woman may choose ghost marriage to retain her wealth, as her property passes to her husband in marriage.

In France, dozens of people each year apply for the right to marry a deceased person, usually a lover who has died prior to the couple's planned marriage. Posthumous marriage was first legalized there during World War I, to allow brides to marry their fallen grooms.

Before you look at the above photo and yell in disgust "Gross!" take a closer look and notice how the little dew-covered dragonfly looks like it's veiled and holding a bouquet. Pretty cute, huh?

When it comes to a spring or summer wedding, a dragonfly theme may not be at the top of the list ... at first. Sure, butterflies and even ladybugs are the typical first choice, but there are tons of dragonfly ideas floating around, as you can see from the gallery below.

You can find anything from dragonfly cakes to delicate hair pins to gorgeous, flowing dragonfly-embroidered gowns. Heck, if you really want to take it to the next level, you can even purchase electronic dragonflies! As far as this writer knows, there's no live dragonfly release ... yet.

If you're getting married in Miami, why not take advantage of the glamorous Art Deco pools that are the signature elements of many of the best hotels in town? Throw a swanky pre-wedding cocktail party for out-of-town guests - it's an easy way to ease your guests into the sexy Miami vibe.

Imagine the pool glittering under the starts, the warm evening breezes twinged with saltwater, the not-too-distant sound of the ocean in the background as guests mingle and drink stiff drinks. (Think 1930s elegance - mojitos and martinis - and FORGET anything that requires a blender.)

We did this for our wedding, and it was so gorgeous and elegant I almost fainted with happiness. I recommend it!

Hmmm... Seems if you're going to spend TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS on a wedding cake, you'd want it to be pretty ...

You've heard of surprise parties, you've heard of surprise showers, you've even heard of a surprise wedding. (Yes, you did: you heard it here.)

But a wedding that was a surprise to the bride??? Back in 1996, an Alabama police officer arranged to have his fiancée of 18 months pulled over. She was directed (by police megaphone) to leave the car and back toward the voice. When she got there, she received a bouquet, and was escorted by her fiancé to the courthouse, where, in front of family and friends who had been invited, they were married.

Okay, guys and gals, we're curious. Is this a fabulous, romantic idea, or a totally awful, arrogant way to rob the bride of her big day? What do you think? (And don't you wonder if they're still married?)

Is a surprise wedding a romantic or horrible idea?

It's not unusual to start dreaming about one's wedding when in a happy, loving relationship -- we've all practiced our signatures with our true love's last name, and thought about what our bridesmaids would wear. Paris Hilton, however, is reportedly thinking about some other wedding plans -- namely, how to get the most money for her wedding pictures.

She and rocker boyfriend, Benji Madden, aren't engaged (though they are going strong, and P-Hilt's family seems to really like him), but she's already got plans in the works for a double wedding with her sometimes-BFF Nicole Richie and Benji's bro, Joel Madden. Apparently, she thinks photos from a double wedding will bring in millions.

What's the most unusual wedding you've ever heard about? Underwater? Skydiving? Performed by a clown? Those are all old news, now, thanks to Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Galactic.

Virgin Galactic is planning the first EVER space-wedding, and eccentric British billionaire Branson is to be the officiant. See, we told you it was unusual! (This actually isn't the first time Branson has played the part of officiant. Just last year he conducted the wedding of Virgin America marketing director Dimitrios Papdognonas and Coco Jones, on, of course, a Virgin flight.)

We've already told you that vegans can have the cake of their animal-product-free dreams, but what if you're a vegan and not terribly interested in a traditional wedding cake? No worries -- we've got you covered there, too.

Well, actually, Portovert, one of our favorite green wedding sites, has you covered. Whether you're looking for a candy buffet serving fair trade and organic chocolates and treats or you're more interested in serving a variety of tasty organic cookies to your guests, you've got options.

And, for the industrious, DIY vegan, Portovert recommends My Sweet Vegan, a cookbook focused on amazing, delicious vegan desserts that you can make yourself. The book promises that "this collection of recipes will satisfy any sweet tooth, and leave people asking, 'Are you sure this is vegan?'" And that in itself is pretty sweet.
