The perfect party dress in a deliciously shocking shade of pink (because you're simply not the type to wear a subtle blush shade of pink.) With a full skirt and fitted bodice it's deliciously retro, but because it's so darn flirty it has a certain sexiness to it too.

It's a dress they'll definitely wear again. And again.

Available at Anthropologie.

For her wedding, this Detroit bride wanted the wedding party to be decked with a particular style of beaded necklaces, called gerdany or Ukranian netted collars. With only a six week time frame to work with she enlisted the beading skills of a 16-year-old student, who made necklaces for the bride, eight bridesmaids, two flower girls, mother and godmother of the bride (and a partridge in a pear tree!). The necklace design was based on a "textured net" pattern available through Rypan Designs. A rich bronze color bead was chosen to match the bridesmaids' dresses and to facilitate lots of use of the necklaces after the wedding. Netted collar patterns from Rypan Designs utilize needle and thread bead weaving techniques. They come with excellent diagrams and are fairly easy to follow for a person with some beading experience.

There are a lot of fun colors in nail polish right now. Chanel's Blue Satin nail polish has flown off the shelves, and OPI has come out with a new collection of Brights, overflowing with shades of green, yellow, orange, and more.

Since summer is here, we're kind of excited about trying some funky new colors. It made us wonder, though, about wedding day nail polish -- are brights and funky hues appropriate for brides? Bridesmaids? Fingers? Toes?

Many brides opt for a French manicure, or a neutral color, while others stick to trademark reds and pinks. However, maybe blue nail polish is more your style, in which case, would you switch it up and go with something more traditional for your wedding? Or do you think your wedding is the perfect time to show off that new acid green nail color? Let us know!

What nail color will you wear on your wedding day?

We knew that Jenna Bush planned to wear an Oscar de la Renta gown for her wedding this Saturday to Harry Hager. We had also heard the buzz that it was a "simple" dress, but Oscar de la Renta isn't exactly known for "simple" designs, so we've been dying to see the dress.

As it turns out, it was fairly simple in terms of the cut -- it was a curve-skimming v-neck gown with a very short train. However, the cut was the only thing simple about it -- the detail of the organza gown was extraordinary. It was a perfect dress for her outdoor wedding and reception at the Bush family's Prairie Chapel Ranch -- not overwhelming, but undeniably gorgeous.

Jenna accessorized her gown simply, wearing lovely quartz earrings and a few small, white flowers in her hair. She opted against wearing a veil (which is a smart thing to consider for an outdoor wedding -- wind can make wearing a veil difficult), and carried an understated bouquet of white flowers, which complimented the beading and embroidery of the gown.
If you are donning a traditional white or ivory wedding dress, the rehearsal dinner is the perfect opportunity to add a splash of color to your wedding wardrobe. With summer right around the corner, it's also the perfect time of year to shop for your rehearsal dinner dress -- the hottest season of the year tends to produce the hottest summer dresses.

Choose a funky patterned shift dress or a brightly colored classic cut. Pick a flowered pattern dress or pastel-hued wrap.

You'll wow every guest at your wedding with your gorgeous and made-for-you gown, but you can evoke even more jaw-dropping looks from any of these dresses (and the ones in the gallery) for your rehearsal dinner.

Feel beautiful at every wedding event -- you deserve to!

Longtime readers already know that we believe that a summer wedding doesn't mean that you have to give up on elegance if you don't want to. We've shown you many ways for the women in your wedding to look fabulous while keeping their cool.

But what about the fellas?

Details magazine offers tips to help your man look cool as the temperatures soar. For example, don't think he has to give up khaki to wear a tux - the option above is glamorous and unexpected. Check our gallery for more ideas, and be sure to read the full article here.

This summer, embellished sandals are everywhere, and they are the perfect shoe for a long weekend of wedding festivity. The right embellished sandal can take you from the rehearsal dinner to the bridesmaid's luncheon and right on in to Sunday morning brunch. And they're perfect for the honeymoon, too.

We love these Lilly Pulitzer sandals because they are a nice marriage of casual and dressed up. The flat sole and thong styling keep them fresh and low-key, but the gold leather and ankle strap elevate them above your normal flip flop. And the blue and green beading gives them a fresh, summer look that will go with anything.

Choose a pair of sandals that will work both with your outfits for the wedding weekend and with everything else in your closet, and then wear these beautiful sandals all summer. It's one simple way to keep the festivity going long after the wedding has ended.

Guys, if you are renting a tux for your wedding, we have a piece of advice for you -- pick up your tux as early as possible.

What you might not realize is that, when you rent a tuxedo, the place from which you rent it might not have an inexhaustable stock of tuxes tucked away in the back. In fact, many times, your local tuxedo shop has the tuxes shipped in from another city. When they take your measurements, they send them to their supplier, who sends the correct size to the shop.

However, it doesn't always go smoothly. There's a lot of opportunity for error -- the person who measures you could be off by a bit, the measurements could get written down incorrectly in either location, the tuxedo sent to you could have been labeled as the wrong size, and, to be honest, it just might not fit correctly.

Kate Moss is busy getting ready for her impending nuptials to her rocker fiance Jamie Hince. They are slated to get married this September in a power station, and the supermodel is apparently trying to shape up.

She has joined pal Sadie Frost in a detox this spring, giving up her favorite fried foods and agreeing to cut back on the booze. Plus, she has incorporated yoga into her routine in an effort to tone up her slight frame.

While this is all fine and well, we're actually a little more excited about some other news -- she's getting to work on her wedding dress, and girlfriend is going gothic. She is said to be working with a designer friend (Who, you ask? We don't know yet!) on a full-skirted gown "either in purple or black" with "vintage rock 'n' roll charms as the trimming." We cannot wait to see what Miss Moss wears, and how else she incorporates this rock 'n' roll/gothic theme!

You've never been a particularly fashion-conscious woman. Jeans and a t-shirt have been just fine for most of your life, with occasional forays into jean skirt and dressy tee, and suddenly, here you are looking in the middle of a whirlwind of fashion terms.

Whirlwind? How about tsunami? You've struggled through 'bodice' and 'pinch pleats', 'sweetheart' -- as a neckline, not a term of endearment -- and 'cathedral' (as a veil length, not a building), and you've found your gown. And your bridesmaids, bless their hearts, have something nice to wear, too.

A sophisticated option for your bridesmaids, the Jackie O by Black Halo is a slim shift dress with the added interest of geometric short sleeves and a sexy cowl neckline. It's perfect for a dressy daytime wedding, particularly if the wedding is happening at a courthouse and is followed by a lunchtime reception at a gourmet restaurant.

C'est si bon!

We love it when funny girls get fashionable, so we were delighted to see Ashley Jensen, who plays the witty Christina McKinney on Ugly Betty, look so completely fabulous at the BAFTA Awards. She really stood out on the red carpet, and we think this dress could be a fantastic look for a bridesmaid, mom, or guest. Here's why:

  • Flaunting a flattering hue -- This shade of blue is stunning on Ashley. Look at how her eyes pop, and how the bright color contrasts against her skin and hair. It's truly a perfect choice for her.

  • Cute cut -- The wide but modest v-neckline is really flattering to her shape, and we love the fact that the rest of her dress fits snugly, but not so tightly that she can't move. She looks elegant and classy, but still like she might be someone you'd want to split a bottle of champagne with.

  • Adorable additions -- Her earrings are just to DIE for, but that's not all we love. She had some fun with her purse, selecting a clutch in a slightly different hue than her dress. The shoes are a great choice -- the metallic shade goes with just about anything, and by opting for the open style in bronze, she elongates her leg.

Want to get this look going for your bridesmaids, mom, or yourself? No problem!

Fashion follows Hollywood. When Lindsay Lohan started trotting around Tinseltown in leggings, suddenly everyone started copying this style, much to the dismay of everyone's favorite fashion critics, and retailers across America struggled to keep an adequate spandex stock. Thankfully, it's not just the ridiculous trends that catch on -- when Ben Affleck gave Jennifer Lopez a 6-ct pink diamond engagement ring, there was a rush on pink diamonds (until the rest of the world realized that they were not movie stars and couldn't actually afford them). So then there was a rush on pink cubic zirconia.

The Bennifer engagement ring really sparked a big trend in Hollywood, and the rest of the world followed. Starlets no longer settled for traditional ring styles like round solitaires in Tiffany settings. Those rings are classic and glamorous indeed, but not unique enough to make a splash on the red carpet. Now we're seeing celebs with every color diamond in the spectrum, like JLo's pink rock, Heidi Klum's huge canary diamond, and Carmen Electra's black diamond ring, to name a few. In addition to the colored diamond trend, solitaires have gone the way of the dinosaur as celebs opt instead for much busier rings with lots of accent stones, and maybe even a non-diamond center stone, like the pink sapphire Nicole Richie received from ex-fiance DJ AM.

Stella McCartney has confidence, that's for sure. When talking to People magazine about Scarlett Johansson's recent engagement to Ryan Reynolds, she said, "I'm definitely doing her wedding dress. She doesn't know it yet."

Okay, it might not be confidence -- it might be a sense of humor. The designer, who designed Madonna's dress for her wedding to Guy Ritchie in 2000, went on to describe what she imagined for Scarlett: "You know, some kind of didgy, black thing. Latex! Latex for Scarlett!"

While we're pretty sure there won't be any latex involved in the dress (though we're sure many of her fans would love to see it happen), we're dying to know what she chooses to wear. She's made several questionable dress choices for the red carpet in the last few years, so it'll be interesting to see whether she's learned from these mistakes or simply continues to feel invincible.
