On your wedding day, all eyes are going to be on you -- no doubt about that. But what if you really want all eyes to be on your face. Perhaps you've put a lot of work into your make-up, or maybe you're a little self conscious about your body. Either way, there's a simple solution -- earrings.

By wearing fabulously stunning earrings, everyone's gaze will automatically be drawn upward. Larger, bulkier earrings are a good choice for brides with fuller faces, while brides with petite features might want to go a slightly smaller design.

Check out GlamForLess.com for fabulous and affordable bridal earrings.
To wrap up our theme week at AisleDash -- the rich color palette of navy, cream and gold -- what a better subject than the perfect look for your perfect bridesmaid dress (in a navy hue to match your theme). Here are a few compiled tips to make your look complement -- and not clash -- with your deep-colored, stunning dress.

  1. We've all heard it said: don't match your eyeshadow to your dress, and this rule still applies to your navy bridesmaid dress. Try a bronze or metallic shade (or shades) such as Stila's eyeshadow trio in "Bronze Glow" or Vincent Longo's trio in "Autumn Rhythm."
  2. A great eyeliner/mascara combo. Something in a deep, rich brown. Try this liner (in "Deep Brown") and this mascara in "Chestnut."
  3. Use a subtle bronzer. Highlight your natural skin tones and accentuate your eyes with a great bronzer such as Lorac's Bronzer in "Glow."
  4. You want to look good for the wedding photos but you don't want your lip color to overpower your makeup. A pink/rose gloss will look great. Try out any of these great glosses from Nars: "Gothika," " Positano" or "Stella."
  5. If the bride is open to you choosing your own nail color, find a gold shade that will tie the whole look together. Something like Laura Mercier's nail lacquer in gold shimmer.

Many women dream of getting married during the summer. Perhaps it's because of the sunny weather, or maybe it's easier for everyone to travel during that time of year. Either way, summer brings with it some very particular beauty and make-up challenges, and if you're getting married in the summer, you need to be aware of what they are and how to prevent and/or fix them!

StyleList has a whole slideshow of Summer Bummers along with solutions. For example, do you know what to do if your skin gets so sunburned that it starts to peel? How about if you end up with tan lines? And what about the photographer's foe, shiny skin? They have solutions to all of these problems and more!

Got a summer specific beauty problem to share? What about a solution? Leave a comment and help out your fellow brides!
To create the illusion of a plump and sexy mouth simply dab the center of your bottom lip with gold or silver lip gloss. You can do this over any lipstick (the silver gloss works best over cooler reds) but if what you want is to create the illusion of fullness, be sure to just use a dab on the bottom lip.

This trick works best right before walking down the aisle or taking photographs, because the effect is short-lived: Once you blot or wipe your lips the illusion will be gone (but the gloss will still add a pretty dimension to your lipcolor.)

And every woman wants her wedding pictures to reflect how beautiful she feels. One great find for great wedding photos is a long-lasting lip color. Try any one of the following brands (and shades) and feel confident that your lips will be picture-perfect from morning to night.

Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue

Have some fun with this wedding custom by adding something blue in a most unexpected way...

A pedicure is a creative way to add "something blue" to your bridal ensemble. (Let's face it: You're getting one anyways - why not have some fun?) Any bride can pull off this look. Let's say you're an offbeat bride - show off your indigo toes by wearing a short dress and some strappy sandals. A more traditional bride might wear baby blue toes under her classic satin pumps.

Sure, there are many beauty blogs out there - tons, probably; but how many blogs are dedicating an entire week to bridal beauty?

Not nearly enough, in our humble opinion.

That is why we were thrilled to learn that Spoiled Pretty is dedicating this week to bridal makeup, celebrity beauty inspiration, and professional advice and how-to's for you the bride.

Because if anyone deserves to be spoiled pretty, it's you.
It's easy enough to look through a magazine and find makeup looks that you like. However, it's not always easy to look at those images, go to the drugstore or department store makeup counter, and select the right products and shades to recreate that look.

MAC Cosmetics has a bridal section where six looks are debuted to inspire brides to look their most beautiful on their big day. Brides can peruse through the different bridal looks, and when she finds one, she can easily see the products used to create it and even get instructions on exactly how to use the products.

Check out the gallery and see if any of these looks are your style, and check out the behind the scenes video to see how all these looks came to be!

Ever wonder what you'd look like as a blue-eyed blonde? Well, have you been tipped off to taaz.com? It's this cool beauty site where you can upload your own photo (after registering) and then use their color tools to try on different shades and styles of makeup, including foundation, eye shadow, liner, mascara, and lipstick. Go completely incognito and change your eye color and the color and style of your hair, too. The tool works seamlessly, because after you upload your photo you define the points where your eyes and lips begin and end. The site also gives you specific product recommendations based on the color selections you make. Save and share your looks with others, or just use the site for your own beautification. It's fun and educational.

Whether you are doing your own make-up or having a friend or professional help you, this template from Aislewalk will assist you in getting the perfect look. Make several copies of the worksheet and then try out different looks by sketching them in. Using colored pencils can let you try different colors. You can also sketch your hairstyle and dress neckline to coordinate the total image. Once you get the look you want on paper, you can take your masterpiece to your stylist to give her a clear idea of what you'd like. If you're doing your own make-up, you won't have to lose sleep wondering if you can remember exactly how to recreate the look!
When I began to research hiring makeup professionals for my wedding day, I knew I'd have to fork over a pretty penny, but it would all be worth it, I assured myself. When I actually had the figures in front of me, though, my entire closet full of shoes didn't seem worth what they were asking. I knew I couldn't rationalize spending hundreds of dollars on makeup that would be washed off a few hours after application no matter how incredible it looked for those few hours. My answer to the realization that someone other than a pro would have to apply my makeup -- someone like me -- was to get my makeup semi-professionally done, beg the semi-professional to write everything down for me and then pick up the must-have items one-by-one. This wasn't exactly the "free" approach to wedding makeup but at the end of my wedding day, I'd still own every single product that was on my face, making it that much easier to wash it all off.

Be all-over beautiful when you give your feet the royal treatment. If you can be diva at the spa, that's the best (try local beauty colleges for great discounted rates), but you can DIY a pedicure at home, too. Start by soaking your feet in a warm and moisturizing bubbly bath and drying with a soft towel. Then, exfoliate calloused areas and shape nails with a good emery board. Next, moisturize with a rich lotion. For extra dry feet, apply lotion at bedtime and wear socks while you sleep. If you want to polish those toes, do so after the moisturizer soaks in and nail surfaces are fairly dry. Finally, pull out those strappy sandals and enjoy!
Brides don't want to take the chance of getting a bad spray tan for their weddings -- that's nothing new. What is new is that UK based spray tan brand Sienna X is offering a "tan fitting" service so brides can be sure to have the exact bridal glow they want on their Big Day.

The "fitting" takes place two or three months before the wedding, and the package includes three spray tans along with advice for the bride about skincare, exfoliation, and moisturizing to give her the best possible tan. This way, the bride and the salon both know exactly what the bride needs in order to achieve a perfect golden brown and she can be confident when she goes in for her bridal tan one to three days before the wedding.

You might be wondering why a spray tanning boutique wouldn't know what you need just by looking at you, but the truth is that spray tan colors can vary by skin type and be influenced by things like natural sun and skincare routines. What looks natural on your sister might make you look like a Tropicana orange. So, doing a trial run (whether your salon offers a "bridal tan fitting" or not) is a good idea.

It's every bride's worst nightmare: Waking up on your wedding day and finding a big fat zit on your face. What should you do?

First: Don't panic! Seriously, take a deep breath and keep things in perspective. We don't want you to have to deal with puffy, red eyes as well.

With all the stress you've been going through, it's not surprising that your skin would act up - if you've been going to a dermatologist and the offending pimple appears a few days before your wedding you may want to give him/her a call; they can give you a cortisone shot that will make the reddest, most throbbing zits go away. (But be aware that there are side effects.)

If there's no time for a visit to the doctor, you first need to asses how bad the situation is. Unless the pimple looks like it's ready to pop on its own (it has white head on it - yuck!) you must leave it alone. Don't apply drying medication because dry skin will look even worse when you apply makeup. Apply some Visine (supposedly it helps with the redness) and then a dab of concealer, but just a touch! Applying too much will only make the zit more obvious.

OK, what if the zit is one of those with the white head of pus just waiting to explode? If you must, you may pop it, but only if it's truly ready. Otherwise you will only make things worse.
