Give your guests a "green" favor they're sure not to throw away. Even if they do throw it away, it still might bloom, because it's a plantable favor from Love Blooms. It's a seed packet in the form of paper. The company adds seed mix and petals to wet pulp then dries the pulp quickly to preserve the viability of the seeds. The result is pretty textured paper that grows when you water it. Choose from different seed mixtures (which create different colors on the paper) and square, butterfly, or angel-shaped favors. You can even hand write personalized messages on the paper. For more information about plantable favors or to place an order, visit the Love Blooms website.

If you and your husband- or wife-to-be are wine lovers, then it may be fun to offer your guests a personalized bottle of wine as a wedding favor. Many wineries offer the chance to create your own signature wine, with customized bottle labels. One such winery tucked away in Grapevine, Texas (nestled between Dallas and Fort Worth) is Su Vino Winery. A name that means "Your Wine" in both Spanish and Italian, this tiny winery found on Main Street in Grapevine welcomes couples looking for their perfect flavor! With no appointment needed, Su Vino makes it as easy as possible for you to come in and start the process as long as you allow two to five months for fermenting. When you arrive at Su Vino, you'll have the chance to taste as many wines as needed to select a flavor. After that, you'll be allowed to customize a label for your bottles. Each batch is consisted of 30 bottles of wine, corks and labels from $195-315. Check out this page that takes you step-by-step through the process and will leave you with no questions on how to create the perfect batch of wine for your wedding guests. Just don't forget to snag yourself a bottle, too!
For any other questions, for different flavors and more, please visit SuVinoWinery.com.
Your guests, family and friends will keep their wedding favors forever if they receive a pretty wire sculpture of their name. Made out of 14 gauge aluminum wire, these 3D favors will delight all of your guests. They also make great gifts. You can order them in advance for special friends and family members for about $5-8, plus shipping. Or, have artist Dave Maskin appear in person at your reception and create these sculptures for your guests (he can make 40-50 per hour, if you can imagine that). It's a truly unique and unforgettable favor idea.
Looking for an interesting way to package reception goodies for your guests? If you have the time and patience, these do-it-yourself boxes make for creative and memorable favor boxes, especially for a spring or even an Easter-themed wedding.
The site features designs by Patricia Zapata, and there are some wonderfully detailed templates. Yes, templates, not the actual boxes, are for sale on this site. However, $3.99 for a template of four box styles is a pretty darn good deal, and it allows you to manage how much you want to spend on paper and what colors and styles you want to use.
This way, your boxes can truly be your own. Just grab a few friends and family members who happen to be handy with scissors, get some good music, and make a party of it!
Favor file: Mini tin pails perfect for beach or country wedding
Destination Ceremonies, Gifts and Registries, Keeping the Memory, Favors
All right, I know I have "issues" with mini items. If you've read through other favor idea posts (which, of course, you should), you probably see a trend of mini favors. I can't help it – they're cute!
So, yet another mini wedding favor to add: the mini galvanized tin pail. In your choice of six colors that include white, silver, pink, lavender, light blue, and sage green, I easily see these favors at a romantic beach wedding of quaint country gathering. And at $10 per dozen, these cuties come cheap!
Fill the buckets with sand and mini (yes mini) seashells or candies, nuts, flower petals – whatever you desire, really. Also, the buckets are wonderful at adding color to reception tables as well as serving as place card holders.

It's been a while since I've come across a wedding favor idea that I love as much as this one. These white porcelain Asian serving spoons are so elegant yet functional.
As a wedding favor, add a note on the handle tied with ribbon and a truffle (or any other delight you can think of) on the spoon placed in front of your guests. If you're really adventuresome, you could even use the spoon first as a way to serve your guests a sushi appetizer.
This site offers the spoons by the dozen at $11.98. That's not bad considering the creative possibilities you can play with to make this favor idea your own and delight your guests.

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a pretty big fan of classic movies that make you laugh and/or cry, like Casablanca or Roman Holiday. Beautiful men and gorgeous women – what's not to love?
If you're planning a wedding centered on glamour with old Hollywood style in particular, I've got a favor idea that just might cause your female guests swoon and shed a tear and your male guests to break out their best handkerchiefs. All right, so maybe your guests won't quite react so dramatically, but they're sure to love it just the same.

Looking to add your own personal touch for your wedding favors? Putting together your own wedding favors can take time, but the reward of seeing your guests appreciate your hard work is worth it. After making my own wedding favor boxes, I was thrilled to see how much my guests enjoyed them.
If you're like me, at some point or another you may have either seen or received a flower pen. I love the idea of making flower pens as a wedding favor, not only for the creativity you can put into the idea but also because of the endless possibility of personalization from the color to the type of flower you can use. Here's a simple method of making your own by yourself or with friends or family:

Oh, spring and summer weddings offer so many opportunities for creativity and color! And, as you may already know, I love wedding favors that can be practical as well as personal. Nothing's worse than finding a ton of favors left on the tables after everyone's left the reception (trust me, I've seen that happen before).
So, avoid the pitfalls of ho-hum, blah favors and go for something less ordinary. Also, be brave and stray from traditional white and try out vibrant colors. Spring and summer, especially, are the perfect times to show off with orange, fuchsia, chartreuse, and purple. I found a wonderful, useful favor that any guest would love to take home.

Okay, I fully understand that the holiday season is beginning to wind down and all the fudge, cakes, cookies, and other delights we've had the pleasure of eating over the last month must now be worked off ... especially if you're concerned about the fit of your wedding dress.
However, as you place yourself on a diet consisting of grapefruit juice and carrot sticks and run twenty miles each day, just imagine biting into a sweet new you. Yes, I'm referring to a figure you're confident about, but I'm really talking about a delicious favor idea I recently came across.

Well, I've just stumbled across I Need A Favor From Kate and simply had to mention it here.
These are lovely little boxes that you assemble yourself and fill with the favor of your choice. The boxes come in a variety of shapes such as flower, pouch, cake wedge and pyramid, and there are loads of different paper patterns and colours to choose from. This is what I love most about them. The patterns are beautiful and contemporary and the possibilities are almost endless.
Elegant, classy and a far cry from wrapping up your favors in tulle and ribbon, which is what I did!
Well, folks, Thanksgiving is officially over (although my stomach's still paying the price), and many more holidays are rushing in a little too quickly for my head and pocketbook to keep up.
With so many holidays approaching, I thought it would be the perfect time to write about one of my favorite holiday wedding ideas for favors. Oh, but it not only works as an awesome favor but also a simple, elegant table centerpiece.

In case you haven't gathered it from some of my other posts, I'm pretty much obsessed with anything mini. It doesn't matter if it's a mini-ketchup bottle (which I happily collect from hotels my husband and I visit – yes, it's collecting, not stealing!) or a mini-lantern ... I love it all.
So, of course, I was searching around again and found a fun, mini wedding favor great for an Asian-themed wedding or any themed wedding, for that matter.

Favor file: Mini wedding broom to celebrate African-American tradition

In case you're not familiar with the African-American custom of jumping the broom, check out my recent post. It's a wonderful way to celebrate culture and show pride in passed down traditions.
When it comes to wedding favors that help tie those cultural traditions, I found one that can meet the budget demands of just about any bride. Not only that, you can be as creative as you like.
