We've spoken with Jay's Bridal and Special Occasions about wedding gowns, and now we're moving on to our third part on tuxedos. Jay's is a one-stop bridal salon located in Gainesville, Florida and their tuxedo department is online at jaysformalwear.com. Throughout the series, we'll discuss everything wedding, ranging from bridal gowns to music to tuxedos. In this installment, Kristen Seymour will chat with the owner of Jay's, Paul Rhodenizer.

Men's fashion doesn't experience the same type of change as women's fashion -- it's much more gradual. Still, there are a few trends that are highly popular now, although just as with bridesmaids' dresses, not all styles are suitable for all body types.

When helping a couple select a tuxedo style for a wedding party, Paul tries to get a feel for the body types involved. "The groom might be tall and thin, and would look great in a three-button jacket, but if his best man is 5'8" and 300 pounds, that style isn't going to work on him." The multiple buttons on a jacket for a guy with a big belly is like a large busted woman wearing a button-up blouse -- there's going to be unflattering gapping.

money clip

Money clip are one of those gifts that show up all the time on websites and in catalogues aimed at bridal couples. Looking for a gift for the men? How about a personalized golf ball, a silver flask, or a money clip? They're everywhere.

What this gift idea may lack in originality, it makes up for with its saying. It's a nice reminder, that the truly important, really valuable things in life cost nothing -- the love you share, for example. A sweet, romantic notion for the groom. For the father of the bride, who may be getting a little dizzy at how quickly his bank balance is receding, it might be just more than a little ironic. Could be the poor man will soon be thinking that the only things he ever will own from now on will be the ones that don't cost money.

Will you give it to him? Probably depends on his sense of humor ...

While not every wedding is formal enough to require tuxedos, a majority of brides and grooms opt to dress their wedding party in them. But who all needs one, and what are the rules for matching?

Of course, the groom needs a tux, and one thing he should consider is the color of his bride's gown. "A majority of our dress sales are now in a shade of ivory," said Paul, "so we encourage the groom and his groomsmen to wear ivory shirts to go with that."

This one's for the guys: There's a reason your bride has spent so much time choosing her Maid of Honor - she will be her rock, her support, during the stresses of wedding planning. Maybe you should take a hint from her and choose your Best Man wisely - it'll make your wedding day special, or at the very least, it will certainly make your life easier!

This article by groomsonline.com gives excellent advice on choosing your Best Man. Here are our top three picks:

1. Choose a dependable friend:
Don't pick your best friend from childhood if he's likely to lose the rings.

2. Choose with confidence: Don't let the fear of offending your other friends paralyze you. Once you've decided on a Best Man, let him know and be confident that your other friends will be fine with it. We promise!

3. Respect your bride's wishes: Don't choose someone she can't stand. Consider it your first lesson in marital compromise.

leaping groomsmen

Weddings have always been the bride's Big Day. Down through the generations, women have ruled this day, and the men nodded and smiled, wrote checks, and showed up on time wearing what they were told. Lots of men still do that, and are perfectly happy to be out of the craziness.

Not all men, though. Some men, more of you each year, want to be more than mere props in what is, arguably, one of the most important days in your life, too. You might not approach that day exactly like your bride does -- and vive la difference! we say -- but you're interested, and you want information.

Just two days before his 33rd birthday, Black Eyed Peas band member Taboo married his girlfriend, Jaymie Dizon, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Pasadena, California. And, you know how you have to decide which of your work friends are invited to your wedding? Taboo had to make those kinds of choices regarding his co-workers -- his Black Eyed Peas bandmates.

Fortunately, the group is really tight, and apl.de.ap and will.i.am both served as groomsmen for Taboo. The only remaining Pea, Fergie, was there as a guest, accompanied by her fiance, Josh Duhamel.

Now that members of the group are all pursuing solo projects, we wondered whether they were still as close as they were a couple of years ago, but this seems to show that there's no doubt. Here's wishing Taboo and Mrs. Taboo much happiness and many years of fabulous costume changes. Though the rapper does tend to go with some funky, different looks on stage -- see the gallery -- he looked absolutely dapper for the nuptials. Still, we'd LOVE to see what went down on the dance floor at the reception!

From the first time we saw him on American Idol, we just had a feeling that Ruben Studdard would find himself a sweet girl to cuddle up with and settle down -- he just has that look about him. It turns out that we were right -- the singer is getting married this weekend in his home state of Alabama, and it sounds like it's going to be quite the affair.

Ruben, 29, will swap vows with Surata Zuri McCants, 30, today at Canterbury United Methodist Church in the swanky Birmingham neighborhood of Mountain Brook. He'll have plenty of support -- People reports that he'll have at least 20 groomsmen, dressed identically in black Joseph Abboud tuxedos from a local outfitter. No word on whether Surata will have an equal number of bridesmaids. Or if there will be anyone left to sit in the pews.

Ruben and Surata met in 2006 when she took a CD into the local Wal-Mart where Ruben was doing a CD signing. It was actually not even for her -- it was for a friend -- but Ruben was so struck by her beauty that he tracked her down in the toy department and got her digits.
It's tradition for the bride to give her groom a gift for the wedding. We love the idea of this poker set for him. It's a great thing to have in your home for hosting friends, but we especially like it for the message it sends to a new groom.

This kind of gift is a nice way for the new wife to tell her husband that marriage isn't going to ruin his social life -- she is supportive of the occasional guys' night. But poker and cards aren't just for the boys anymore -- grooms, maybe your bride would appreciate a gift like this. You're supposed to get her a wedding gift, too.

This 500-chip set comes in a stylish mahogany case, and sells for $100.99 on Overstock.com.

Most men don't care about what they wear to bed -- if they wear anything at all, that is. But if they made men's pajamas as comfortable as they make them for women, men would probably give the topic a little more consideration. In fact, they DO make nice men's pajamas, they just don't sell them in every department store in the country.

For a great gift to your groom or groomsmen, why not get him this heavenly set of personalized Cambridge Pajamas? The soft cotton sateen will feel great to him, and to you, when you snuggle up next to him (we're talking about the groom now, not the groomsmen!). These pajamas are $69.95, can be personalized with his monogram for free, and come with a free travel case (which can also be monogrammed for an additional $9.95).

In case you haven't noticed, guys often don't like to put a lot of work into what they wear. That's not to say they don't want to look good -- they just don't want to spend a lot of time figuring out how to make that happen.

Dressing for a wedding, therefore, isn't all that tough for men. They wear either a suit, a shirt/tie/slacks combo, or, if it's casual, khakis and a button down. That's great and all, but it's also nice if they can add a little extra style. It's even better if what they add is functional as well.

Enter the sunglass. For an outdoor wedding, this accessory can't be beat. The right style can make a man look infinitely more chic and fashion-forward than he actually is, while wearing a sport glass will do exactly the opposite. We don't mind even seeing the groomsmen and the groom in shades before the wedding, provided the frames are removed in time for the bride to come down the aisle.

Here are some of our favorite styles for men -- some are a little trendy, some are classic, but all of them are appropriate for a wedding-type of affair.
Sometimes it's even harder to shop for the groom's side of the wedding party than the bride's. If you're the groom, you most likely want to buy your groomsmen gifts they will use and enjoy, and if you're the bride, you want your soon-to-be husband to find the perfect gifts without forcing you to spend hours upon hours picking them out for him. To save both of you the time it takes to scour every store in the mall, direct your guy to Red Envelope (redenvelope.com) where there are plenty of fantastic (and manly!) gifts made with the groom's best friends in mind. These men are taking care of the bachelor party and making sure the groom gets to the altar on time -- they really do deserve a thoughtful and original gift.

In a wedding, the maid of honor has a pretty long list of responsibilities. The groom's side is traditionally far less involved, so the best man has a shorter list, and the groomsmen have even fewer jobs to do. It's a pretty sweet gig, really. You mostly just have to show up, and then you get put on display at the front of the ceremony for all the single ladies to get a good look. Lucky you.

There are just a few things you'll need to take seriously leading up to the big day. You should help the best man with his tasks, especially planning the bachelor party, and you may want to write a toast for either the rehearsal dinner or the reception. The most important thing you have to do, though, is get your tux. The bride and groom will pick out your outfit for the day, but you will need to get fitted. This isn't something that should be a big hassle for you, so get it done as early as possible. The longer you put it off, the more likely the bride's head will explode. She probably won't take her frustrations out on you directly, but on your buddy, the groom.

You don't want that, do you? So be a good groomsman and get fitted for your tux early. Compared to what the bridesmaids have to do, you've really got it easy. Enjoy.
The typical wedding pecking order goes something like this: Bride, mother of the bride, wedding planner, maid of honor, all the bridesmaids and family of the bride, groom, best man, groomsman, everyone else. Okay, we're only joking -- mostly -- but just because you're not at the top of the list, Best Man, that doesn't mean you've got nothing to do. You will notice you're the first one after the groom.

Your responsibilities won't be nearly as involved as those of the maid of honor, but you've still got some work to do for this wedding. You're probably most excited about throwing the bachelor party. That's the best part for most best men. But there's other stuff, too.
