According to PeterGreenberg.com lost luggage on airlines is spreading like a bad virus, particularly since the 3-oz.-all-the-liquid-you-can-fit-in-a-Ziploc-baggy carry on policy was introduced and forced more and more people to check suitcases. Greenberg has always said, "There are two kinds of luggage. Carry on and lost" and it has never been more true than it is now.

If your wedding or honeymoon plans involve air travel, consider protecting yourself from inconvenience and potential loss with a luggage shipping company. These companies ship your belongings to your destination via one of the popular shippers (UPS, Fedex, etc.) but also pick up, deliver and fill out the paperwork for you. But one of the biggest reasons business is booming for these companies is that your baggage is insured against loss, a protection the airlines are steadily eliminating. Order them as a wedding gift to yourself, or stick them on your registry as one of your big ticket items. After all, a newlywed couple deserves a welcoming bed.
Wednesday Wedding Wrap-up is a weekly roundup of highlights from the past week, covering wedding blogs and websites, reality TV, even particularly hot scoop right here at AisleDash. Think we missed something? Leave your favorite highlight in the comments!

We've all been digging brightly colored wedding shoes, and PolkaDot Bride has gathered up oodles of photos of these fabulous shoes in action.

iDoSugar wants to know whether you plan to (or already did) exercise on your honeymoon. And no, that doesn't count. Well, we suppose if you got really athletic with it, perhaps ...

Of course, AisleDash is our very favorite wedding blog (why on earth would you want to go anywhere else?), we have to admit we were pretty excited when AisleDash's own Becky told us about someone else in the wedding industry who would be blogging!
We know it's a bit of a stereotype, but the fact is that most guys we know really like gadgets. They like playing with the settings, they like pushing random buttons to see different features, and they really like showing us what they can do with them.

And so, we think the perfect wedding gift for your new hubby is some sort of techy device, especially if that particular gadget is something that will come in useful on your honeymoon! Like what? Oh, don't you worry. We've got lots of ideas. Check out the gallery to see what we suggest, and be sure to tell us in the comments if you have other ideas of your own!

When you put your wedding announcement in the newspaper, it tells the world that you are happy, in love, getting married to the guy or girl of your dreams -- and that you won't be home that day. Wedding announcements make a crook's job pretty easy, because they know that on your wedding day, you (and often your neighbors, since you probably invited them to the ceremony) are not around to stop or witness a break-in.

To guard against wedding day break-ins, we suggest finding a house-sitter for the day. Since your available friends will presumably be at your wedding, you may want to hire someone, or get a friend of a friend to do it. If you can't get anyone to hang out at your place for the day, leave a light on out front and ask your neighbors to park a car or two in your driveway.

While you're away on your honeymoon, it's also a good idea to make sure it looks like someone's home. Have a neighbor get your mail and newspaper, or have the post office hold your mail and suspend your newspaper subscription for the week. Set your inside lights on a timer so that it appears someone is inside. For criminals looking for the easy job of robbing an empty house, a little discouragement can be enough to send them away.
Looking for a way to burn off a few calories and tone up for the Big Day? Need to de-stress? Want some tips to sex up your honeymoon?

You can do all three at once when you sign up for any of a wide number of classes available out there. Lap-dancing? Sure. Pole-dancing. Check. (They'll even sell you the pole.) Striptease? Got that, too. Can't imagine walking, let alone dancing, in super-high heels? Not to worry: there are even classes in Mastering the Stiletto! It's fun, and you know your groom-to-be will love it, too!

It's not just for fun: an hour-long class can burn 300 calories. Nice to know that you're doing something good for yourself when you're learning to be baaaaad.

If you're lucky enough to be honeymooning after your beautiful wedding day, you're lucky enough to enjoy the summer sales and stock up on pieces for the perfect summer honeymoon. Whether you're traipsing off to Mexico or trotting around Europe, summertime honeymoons lend themselves to sun-dress sandal shopping. And after just a quick afternoon jutting in and out of my favorite stores, it's clear that the styles this summer are too good for the recent Mrs. to pass up. Whether you decide on this floor-length madras print from Gap or this colorful v-neck from Francesca's Collections or any of the other fun, flirty and fantastic dresses in the gallery, make room in your suitcase and save a little wedding money for your honeymoon wardrobe.

Feel as beautiful on the beaches of Mexico or the streets of Rome as you did on your wedding day.

If we were to base life on romance novels and soap operas, we wouldn't even bother with this question -- obviously, the main thing on everyone's mind when it comes time for the honeymoon is sex, right? You'll go to a swanky hotel with a gorgeous bed and get busy four times a day, just like everyone else.

Except, in real life, everyone else isn't doing that. In fact, many newlyweds don't rank sex even close to being their top priority on their honeymoon. According to this article, couples are more interested in getting a tan, seeing the sights, and (yawn) reading a book than they are in getting busy.

We understand that, on your wedding night, you might be a little to tired to do the deed, and that's totally understandable. But, we were surprised about the honeymoon. What about you -- what part of your honeymoon is your top priority?

What's #1 on your Honeymoon To Do list?

If you're traveling for your nuptials or your honeymoon, you can add a slice of style to your travels. At ClassyBride.com, you can find a sleek and colorful travel envelope to store important documents -- airline tickets, marriage license, reservations, passports, etc. The envelope expands to hold as many documents/tickets as you may need to bring along with you to your destination wedding or relaxing honeymoon making it easier than ever to keep everything important in one, stylish location. Purchase one for yourself -- in blue or fuchsia -- or for any traveling bride as a nice shower gift. We've talked at length at AisleDash about how to reduce the stresses of traveling for any wedding-related event, and it's always nice when we find one more thing to help wedding travel be as easy and organized as possible. And it never hurts when what we find is also stylish to boot.
Added to the long list of stresses of air travel, you can now add one more thing. As ABC News reported, American Airlines announced this past Wednesday that all air travelers will be charged $15 for the first bag they check and $25 for each additional bag due to rapidly increasing fuel costs. What's more, you won't see any added services or perks after you fork over the extra money, so if you're debating between checking or carrying-on your luggage, perhaps this will sway you to pack carefully -- leave those extra few pairs of shoes you are 99% positive you won't wear at home -- and take your suitcases on board along with your US Weekly and extra pillow. If you're traveling for your wedding or honeymoon, you've undoubtedly spent quite a bit of money on the trip already, so paying an additional amount to bring clothes and necessities on your trip seems more than a little irritating. Although it can't be known how long this new system will be in place or how many other airlines may adopt it in the future, it is currently in effect, so keep it in mind when traveling for your wedding or any wedding-related events. You have enough to worry about -- you shouldn't have to be surprised with any extra costs.

Have you always dreamed of climbing the heights of Macchu Picchu? Why not get married there, in an authentic Andean ceremony? If you think that sounds amazing, but would be a logistical nightmare, you're right - if you're thinking of having a traditional wedding. But if you consider eloping, well, then it's a little more feasible...

Forbes Traveler has compiled a list of some of the most stylish and unique places to elope, because, as they put it: The classic elopement ... has been modernized and redefined. It's less about keeping secrets than keeping the experience personal-and perfect.

The popular image of an elopement is that it's a spur-of-the-moment decision made by a young couple sneaking away to get married before anyone (read: parents) can stop them.

Of course, we all know that's not always the case anymore. Instead, elopements can be as elegant or complex as any other wedding - except for the fact that there is no guest list. (Which let's face it, is a major source of stress for many engaged couples.)

Check the article for some truly amazing locales, and get some inspiration for your perfect elopement!

How does a free honeymoon sound to you? Awesome, we're sure. But what if we told you you get to choose from four glamorous destinations - Hawaii, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas, or St. Barths - and that your prize also includes a $2,000 J. Crew shopping spree?

We're pretty sure you're quite excited by now. We don't blame you - that's a lot of bathing suits!

J. Crew is sponsoring this giveaway, so get clicking. No purchase is necessary to play.

Good luck!
For the couple looking for a true romantic getaway -- somewhere off the beaten path, but still with plenty to see and do -- Ashland, Oregon is the perfect place to honeymoon. The small town is full of its own charms, but it's also convenient to Crater Lake National Park, which is probably the most beautiful place on Earth. Really.

Fed only by rain and melting snow, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in North America at almost 2,000 feet, and it has some of the cleanest water in the world, which provides absolutely breathtaking reflections of the surrounding mountains and clouds. Miles of hiking trails around the lake give you thousands of views you won't want to leave behind -- take a camera and be prepared to get a lot of pictures.
